Mar: Clear Lake

Assistant Scoutmaster Steve would like to point out that he obviously is not the source of the curse of the rain and snow, since he wasn’t on this trip... and yet the Troop was surprised by some of the most severe conditions they’ve seen yet. Light snow on Long Island turned into heavy wet snow as the Troop drove upstate, and Friday night proved quite the adventure finding the site and setting up.

The sun came out Saturday for a record-breaking snowball fight at this beautiful camp.

Alex Says: When we went to Clear Lake we had a lot of fun. It took a long time to get up the hill because it was icy and we kept getting stuck. The camp master sanded the hill so we can get up. We were walking around trying to find the campsite. Mike walked on the lake trying to get to our site. We got back to the cars and we stayed at the site closest to the cars.  All day we were having a snowball fight. We kept hitting other people in the troop. We had to leave on Saturday because Mike had to do stuff at his work. We left at 9 oclock and got back to the temple at 11 o’clock. Every one slept the back to the temple because it was late. We had a lot of fun on the trip at clear lake.
