Laurel Caverns!

This was an incredible, exciting experience for all of the Scouts and something they won't soon forget.

All of them earned the Geology merit badge, and got to hunt for fossils outside. We got a tour of parts of the cave and then after lunch we got our Hard Hats and our guide took us deep into the cave. We got to crawl, go thru the mud, see the bat cave and see what it is like in total darkness.

They did get muddy and dirty but that is how we know it was a success.

Our campsite was right there at the site so they still had time Saturday night to work on some advancement also.

Even though it was a long drive, all of them were very good in the car and it was well worth the long drive. We did go through 5 different states on our way back (Pa, WVa, Md, NJ and NY) and we will keep working on the rest of them.

We also really want to thank Theo, Jeff, Andrea and SM Mike for taking the time to make this all possible for everyone.
