Our December trip was to Allamuchy Scout Reservation in New Jersey near the Delaware Water Gap. The weather was bad driving out, but when we got there on Friday we had a beautiful (but chilly) night. Most of the Troop slept inside in a big bunkhouse, but Drew, Josh, Mike F and Andrea opted to set up their tents outside.
The Troop practiced its lashing skills Saturday morning by building ballistas, and then having an inter-patrol water balloon fight. Fortunately the sun was out and nobody got too wet. We hiked, climbed some rocks, and went to an air rifle range that was set up. Ben was our best shot.
Lots of advancement work was done on this trip, and a few boys are almost at their next rank.
