For Every 100 boys in Scouting…
3 will develop a career based on what they started in a Merit Badge program 1 will use his Scouting Skills to save a life and only 2 to 4 will become Eagle Scouts
Troop 189 has a long history that goes back over 50 years. The troop charter lapsed throughout the 80’s and 90’s, but the revitalized Troop 189 is back and is going strong. We congratulate Andrew,Josh, and Charles; our first Eagles of the rechartered Troop 189 and are proud to add their names to the Troop 189 Honor Roll of Eagle Scouts:

According to these records, Mike Ferguson was the seventh Scoutmaster of Troop 189 upon the recharter of the Troop. Steve Innerfield was our eighth Scoutmaster, and interestingly, is a second-generation Scoutmaster. His Dad was the Scoutmaster of Troop 303 in Oceanside in the 1970’s. Mike Vitucci assumed responsibilty as Scoutmaster in August, 2010.
